The Quilters Choice Insulating Wadding is a replacement for Insul-Bright and is a polyester batting with a metallic intermediate layer, especially for oven mitts, pot holders or cooler bags.
The material reflects both heat and cold. Microwave use is not recommended. The material can be used in clothing, but does make noise during movement. That is why it can also be used as a "crisp foil" in children's toys
The material does not absorb moisture, which is why we recommend using a layer of cotton batting in addition to a layer of Insulating wadding, for example in oven mitts
