My Favorite Log Cabin Ruler - 3/4 and 1 1/2 inch

With this Log Cabin ruler from Marti Michell you can easily cut strips to an exact length for Log Cabin blocks up to 14 inches, with finished strip widths of 3/4 or 1 1/2 inches.

If you use this ruler to cut Log Cabin strips, it is not necessary to sew on a foundation, all strips are always of perfect length before you start sewing them.

You can use both sides of the ruler, one side is for the 3/4 inch strips and the other is for the 1 1/2 inch strips. The lengths of the strips are marked with a letter and the length of the strips. for each step of the Log Cabin you simply take the next letter/length

Since the ratio of both strips is 2:1, you can cut strips from both sides for off-center Log Cabin blocks.

For the best result and the least chance of stretching of the fabric, it is recommended to cut strips from the length of the fabric, with this ruler this is very easy and economical
